In 2013, 2014, and again in 2015, John Giacobbe was recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star – an award reserved for only 2.5% of his peers!

Mr. Giacobbe attributes his success comes from his three step approach: listen to the client, be available for and responsive to the client, and devote everything to achieving the client’s needs. As such, it’s not uncommon to find him meeting clients in his office or their place of choice on nights, weekends, or holidays.

Mr. Giacobbe brings to his practice a wide variety of legal and non-legal experiences including the experiences he acquired while working for two Fortune 300 companies as well as those he has acquired as a commercial property manager and business consultant. On any given day, you can find him representing severely injured accident victims, counseling a grieving family, representing a real estate purchaser or seller, or working alongside a small business owner to achieve their dreams.

Mr. Giacobbe started his career as personal injury litigator in New York City. Over the years, he has worked on both jury and non-jury trials in the areas of general negligence, automobile negligence, and business litigation.

He serves the City of New Rochelle as a member of its Board of Assessment Review. Additionally, he is a member of the board of directors for the New Rochelle Bar Association and Quinnipiac University’s School of Law’s Alumni Association. In addition, Mr. Giacobbe is a member of the Advisory Board for the United Community Center. Mr. Giacobbe is proud supporter and a former member of board of directors for the Youth Shelter of Westchester. Annually, Mr. Giacobbe assists the New Rochelle High School Mock Trial team.

Mr. Giacobbe attended Quinnipiac University’s School of Law and School of Business where he ranked amongst the top of his first year law school class. He graduated Cum Laude from the Juris Doctorate program, and earned his Masters in Business Administration. John has achieved dozens of awards of recognition for his accolades. Most notably, he earned the coveted Distinguished Academic Achievement Award (for achieving the highest grade in his class) in: Advanced Legal Writing and Research, Law Office Management, Trial Practice, and Advanced Trial Practice. Additionally, he was the President of his law school’s Moot Court Honor Society and won second place in a National Moot Court Competition.

John was born in Bronx, New York and resides in New Rochelle, New York with his wife. John Giacobbe is licensed to practice law in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Washington DC, and also the Southern and Eastern District Courts of New York. John is a licensed Real Estate Broker, licensed recreational scuba diver, and licensed by the United State’s Coast Guard as a marine Captain.
